On Saturday 18th September it was time for the Revolution English Title Fight Night 2010. This is a big day in the Revolution Annual Calendar.

The event was held at Parklands Sports & Social Club on Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster. People travelled from all over the country to take part and support this event. The clubs involved were East Meets West, Burns School of Black Belts, Dragon Freestyle, York Martial Arts Academy, Spirit, Black Dragons, Gorton Kids Karate Club, MKA Sports, Rochdale, Universal Martial Arts, NEST Tae Kwon Do, Charyu Tae Kwon Do and a Team from Andy Crittenden's Martial Arts Centre.

The show was 6 action packed hours of Points Sparring, Light Continuous, Sport Sword and Forms with the Kids on from 4pm till 7pm and Adults 7pm till 10pm.

The fight night featured the top 2 fighters in each weight class for Points, Continuous and Swords. The criteria for arranging the fight was ideally the winner of the North of England Championships facing the winner of the Yorkshire Championships, however if someone won both titles or somebody didn't want to take part then we picked a suitable contender from either Last Years Champion or Silver and then Bronze Medallists from the North of England or Yorkshire Championships. If a suitable fighter couldn't be found then we opened it up to anyone who had the courage to step into the ring.

For the forms you had to win a Gold at either the North of England or Yorkshire Championships.

Everyone who took part did themselves and their clubs proud, I was extremely proud of how well the event went and how hard everyone had fought to win the Titles, I am so lucky to have such a great team around me and would like to thank the following people for making the night such a success.

Our Main Referee Craig Long along with his shadow Referee Luke Burks who did all the points and Adult Continuous. Thanks to Colin Beddow and Ian Harrison for reffing the Kids Continuous and Dave Turton, Craig Oxley, Chris Clarke, Gary Sansom & Audrey parker for Judging the forms.

Also I would like to thank Kev Miller, Craig Oxley, Hayden Lindley, Natalie Loy, Lucy Shaw, Terry Fox and David Colley for looking after Team ACMAC as I was busy running the show, this is the only downside of the show for me that I am tied up with the announcing and unable to interact with the team.

If I have to mention a few individuals that stick out to me first word I can think of in Klongklaew. Beer and may won 5 Championships between them, they are truly excellent Martial Artists, great performances also by Gary Sansom, Laura Rea and Steve Cantrill who went up several gears in their performances and David Colley and Jamie Kirby for giving us in my mind the fight of the night.
